Tony Spink

Anthony Arthur "Tony" Spink (born Doncaster, 16 November 1929) is an English former footballer. He played professionally for Sheffield Wednesday, Chester City, Workington, Sunderland and Tranmere Rovers between 1949 and 1957, making a total of 20 Football League appearances.[1]

After retiring from football, Spink became the proprietor of an estate agency in East Sussex.[2] His grandson, Sony, was a match mascot for Chester when they won 3-2 at Brighton & Hove Albion on September 18, 1999.[2]
